Oma & Popie's Twice Baked Butter Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

  • 16 chicken wing pieces

  • Peanut or Vegetable oil for frying

  • ½ cup melted butter

  • ½ cup of your favorite Oma & Popie’s sauce.

  • Oma & Popie's Flippin' the Bird seasoning (or salt and pepper)

  • ¼ cup bleu cheese dressing

Directions:

Step 1: While heating oven to 350, line baking sheet with parchment paper and melted butter over low heat in a small pan and add sauce to simmer. Set both aside.

Step 2: Fry wing sections in 12” heavy skillet filled with oil half way, heated to 350-375, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.

Step 3: Toss fried wings in sauce and butter mixture and with tongs place on baking sheet. Sprinkle on seasoning on both sides

Step 4: Bake in oven for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and toss in butter and sauce mixture, with tongs place back on lined baked sheet and bake for another 10 minutes.

Step 5: Garnish with thinly sliced green onions, serve immediately with Blue Cheese Dressing, celery and carrot sticks!

Shortcuts: Pick up cooked and naked wings at store deli, toss in sauce and butter and twice bake.
